Ezekiel as a watchman predicts an end to the abominations committed by the rebellious house of Israel. ‘The end is come upon the four corners of the land’ however is a signal that it is not the end of God’s Mercy. However the remnant of them shall indeed is ahead, ‘So the words ‘and ye shall know that I am theLord’ leave a door open for hope.
In the light of the above let us consider what Jerusalem would mean to the remnant,”…Of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified(Re.11:8)”. We considered in a previous post on Sodom from the Book of Isaiah (1:9). Sodom as a place is finished.
